La última chica is the trade name of spanish filmmaker Mónica Mateo. Behind of this name, Mónica produce her own projects.

 

Mónica is a lover of horror, sci-fi and fantasy movie genres, and her trade name "La última chica", belong to a horror sub-genre which she grow up: the Slasher, in which movies, la última chica (final girl), is the last woman alive to confront the killer, ostensibly the one left to tell the story. This character redefine the hero and heroin roll.

Mónica was named Bronze Filmmaker of the Year in annual Genero Awards.

Now, Mónica works in the feature film The house, that obtained a Script Grant of the Community of Madrid in 2017 and was selected to participate in MADRIDCREALAB 2018, and also works in the script of the feature film Las Bestias and in the series project LADY R.
